'Enduring a Horrific Ordeal': Loved Ones of Missing Young People Desperately Seek Information After Alpine Blaze

The loved ones of teenagers missing after a tragic blaze at a venue in a Swiss alpine town are facing an agonising wait for confirmed information and appealing for clues about their children online.

The fire engulfed the a popular bar in Cans-Montana, located in the Swiss Alps of the Valais region, in the middle of the night of the first day of the year. Verified video show the roof structure being engulfed in flames as beverages with sparklers are held aloft.

Authorities have stated that it could take considerable time to formally name the victims of the fire, which resulted in the death of numerous partygoers and injured another scores more. Officials said on the latest update that 113 of the those hurt have been accounted for, with work ongoing to locate the final individuals.

In the meantime, relatives have been posting on online platforms to appeal for clues about their friends who were present at the venue that fateful night.

Desperate Searches for the Unaccounted For
